Sharing Your Prayers

September 16, 2018

Dear Family and Friends,

The first time I came across this beautifully written prayer, I felt as if it were my own. I was reminded of how my grandmother used to regularly write down her prayers. The next time you say or hear a particularly relevant or poignant prayer, take time to write it down or record it. It may be of service to you or another in the future.

As my eyes behold the wonders of your creation, my heart skips a beat. It amazes me to know that just as this world is designed and crafted by love, so am I. I feel so blessed today, so alive, so willing and able to love, to hope, to forgive, and simply to be. How desperately I want to hold on to right now. I know that there will be ups and downs throughout this day, and it will be difficult for me to retain precious feelings like these. My prayer is that you will keep me steady, Lord, and help me to stay focused on the things that really matter in life. Help me so that I will not get distracted by problems that are too complex for me to handle by myself. My heart’s desire today is to be in position to be used by you.
