Maintain Your Hope Revisited

Dear Family and Friends,

The prophet Jeremiah may be one of our best biblical examples of crying out to the Lord in times of trouble. Even better, in Lamentations, Jeremiah models for us how to keep praying and trusting when our hope is challenged. Have you ever suffered long? I have. Like Jeremiah, in the midst of grief, despair, and anguish we must continue to pursue God. I know that many of you are hurting and looking for the light in the midst of the darkness. This darkness may be personal, in the family, in the church, in the city, and most certainly nationally and globally. In these times, renew your hope by recalling that “because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your (God’s) faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:22-23.

Friends, in and under all circumstances peace and deep joy can be found in the new life of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit who is always in you, with you and for you!
